Ekos Alma seeks to bring the soul and spirit of the forest to the consumer, providing a surprising experience in every situation.
The main challenge was to translate this concept of the soul of the forest into the perfume packaging, whose design is an artistic interpretation of the “living fossil” concept – a metaphor for life fossilized in resin, in which the perfume innovates in its concept with a differentiated design in the bottle, in the shape of a drop and without a support base, in addition to the contrast between the opaque mineral texture and the transparency of the amber, with an illustration of the perfume that mixes with the sacred actives, referring to a temporal fusion, a connection between the past and present.
The distinctive design of the “bottomless” flask required a detailed study from the mold design, without conventional openings. The molds are treated and improved using high-precision machining technology.
New technologies such as the progressive blowing system were added to the manufacturing process, so that the distribution of the vitreous mass was in harmony with the differentiated contour, in addition to carrying out several researches to enable the stability of the bottle and its adequate post-conformation positioning for transport by conveyor belts in production, since it is still at a high temperature after leaving the mold.
The innovation in the decoration process is due to the application of the new Laser technology, which allowed the application of 2 different effects: the precise cutting of the matte black painting and the engraving of the art, revealing the transparency of the glass and the fragrance in an amber tone. Finally, the printing of the name of the perfume was carried out using golden Hot Stamping, using a metallic ribbon and thermal transfer recording.
The perfume has a valve with a discreet and invisible design, not visible to the consumer, with smooth and reliable operation, preventing the perfume from leaking when the bottle is conditioned and oriented in a horizontal position.
The packaging won the WorldStar award, in the Health & Personal Care category (Health and Beauty), the Silver award in the Market - Shape category at the ABRE Brazilian Packaging Awards, and the Grandes Cases Packaging Award in 2020.
